Police Asset Plan Consultation Event
hosted by Community/Police Consultative Group for Lambeth.
The Met Police is consulting on its Asset Plan. They will
present the options under consideration and take views. The

example, centralising custody facilities into a single
centre in the borough, distributing Safer Neighbourhood
teams around the borough, providing separate front desk
facilities for those reporting crimes and those reporting

What Future for Town
Centre/Area Provision?
The restructuring of the
Town Centre Teams and Areas to fit in with the new approach to
neighbourhood management under the Communities First engagement
initiative is now at the stage of formal staff consultation as it is
proposed that some jobs will be deleted and some new ones created.
Details are awaited when final proposals are reported to Council
Cabinet and Lambeth First.
Major Window/Door
Renewals for Local Estates.
Planning permission has been granted for major window and door
replacements the blocks on
Vauxhall Gdns Estate and the three Ethledred Tower Blocks.

Stephen Morgan Selected
as Parliamentary Candidate.
Prince’s Ward Councillor Stephen Morgan tells me that he has been
selected for the unwinnable seat of Orpington. See:

Ward. Stephen along with his Councillor colleague Lorna Campbell

All Nations Centre - Health Day Event. 24 May. All Nations Centre
(Tyers Terrace) will be providing a Health Day Event for the
Community. Core activities will be

partnership with other groups running health activities. Ideas are
under discussion through the Health & Fitness network set up to

Farm
This is an ideal opportunity to become involved in one of the hidden
treasures of
G.O.A.T.S. (Giving Opportunities And Training Support) Youth
Worker
Thanks to funding from the Jack etchey Foundation, we are looking
for a Youth Worker to join our team in this busy and varied
environment. Currently the position is fixed term for 12 months,
with possibility of extension for a further year.
The main focus of the job is to plan and run the ‘G.O.A.T.S.
for young people’ project at Vauxhall City Farm with the Farmyard
Co-ordinator, Horse Yard Manager and other youth workers. This will
include planning activities, supervision of the young people,
budgeting and updating and maintaining records. In addition it is to
maintain the numbers of young people at the farm at weekends, by
providing fun and educational activities, good behaviour standards
and a safe and secure environment.
The applicant will also be required to assist with the
running of the work experience programme at the farm. Applicants
should have previously worked in a busy and varied environment, and
a proven ability of working with and relating to young people aged
11 to 25 years. £21,000 pro rata. 22.5 hours per week (to cover
Saturdays and Sundays and one other day). To discuss the post with a

or willing to undertake, training towards an animal qualification.
Riding Instructor (£50 per day) - 4 hours each Sunday - assisting with the running of the newly established Pony Club.
Project Leader: Counting the Costs of Failing Our Children. New Economics Foundation (and National Children’s Homes)
£32-£36,000. The project will
seek to re-shape the way government invests in the future of our
society through children. It will measure the value of early
intervention and prevention, equipping policy makers and
practitioners with the evidence, knowledge and tools to achieve
lasting well-being for children young people and their families.
